1. Who is responsible?

MDTN, established in Voorburg at Prins Bernhardlaan 146 G, with Chamber of Commerce number: 63521393, is responsible for the processing of personal data. MDTN acts in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the regulations applicable to MfN registered mediators.


2. To whom does this declaration apply?

This privacy statement applies to clients, potential clients, counterparties, website visitors, and other persons who contact MDTN.


3. Which personal data do we process?

 - Identity and contact details. - Data relevant to a mediation process. - Financial data for invoicing. - Correspondence via email or other means of communication. - Technical data of website visitors for analysis and security.


4. Purposes and foundations

MDTN processes personal data for the execution of the mediation agreement, conducting a careful mediation process, complying with legal obligations, the administration of the practice, and maintaining contact with clients and potential clients.


5. Special personal data

In divorce mediation and employment mediation, data may be processed regarding health, family situation, employment relationships, finances, and other sensitive topics. This data is processed exclusively to the extent necessary for the mediation.


6. Digital communication and storage

MDTN may use email, video calling, digital document exchange, and secure cloud storage. Although appropriate security measures are taken, complete security of electronic communication cannot be guaranteed.


7. Cookies and website usage

The website may use analytical cookies to gain insight into the use of the website. If legally required, prior consent is requested via a cookie banner.


8. Retention periods

Mediation files are in principle retained for a maximum of twenty years. Administrative data are retained for as long as required by tax legislation. Other contact details are not retained longer than necessary.


9. With whom do we share data?

Personal data may be processed by hosting providers, email providers, cloud storage services, IT service providers, and administrative service providers to the extent necessary for the provision of services. If a complaint is filed, relevant data may be provided to SKM and/or STM. Data will otherwise not be provided to third parties unless legally required or expressly agreed upon.


10. Security

MDTN takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorized access, and misuse.


11. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to access, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure of data, data portability, and to object to processing insofar as the GDPR provides for this. In addition, a complaint may be lodged with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.


12. Changes

MDTN may amend this privacy statement if legislation, case law, or the provision of services gives rise to such amendment. The most current version is published on the MDTN website.

We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or use our services.

A 'cookie' is a small piece of information that a website gives to your device when you view a website. Cookies are very useful and can be used for many different purposes. We do not combine the information we have collected using Google Analytics with personal data. We may use your Personal Data, such as your name, email address, telephone number, etc., ourselves or with the help of our external subcontractors to offer you promotional material relating to our services that we believe you may be interested in.


Out of respect for your right to privacy, we offer you the option within these promotional materials to indicate that you no longer wish to receive promotional offers from us in the future. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address or phone number from our mailing list.
